Urgent care is designed for non-life-threatening conditions that require prompt attention. Northwest Urgent Care locations are equipped to diagnose and treat adults and children of all ages, including for sports physicals and workers’ compensation injuries. Use urgent care when you need treatment quickly but know your situation is not a medical emergency. Examples of urgent medical needs include but are not limited to:

• Sprains and strains
• Low-grade fever
• Colds and general allergy symptoms
• Mild allergic reactions
• Mild flu symptoms
• Sore throat
• Sinus and ear pain
• Migraines
• Minor infections, including ear, eye, respiratory, and urinary tract

Virtual Visits

Virtual visits are designed to assess your symptoms and determine a safe path forward—whether that means receiving a diagnosis online or guiding you to in-person care. Some appointments require a physical examination in order for the provider to meet the standard of care and make fully informed decisions. But many appointments can be managed well through virtual interaction. These may include certain visits for:

• Minor injuries such as sprains, cuts and scrapes
• Minor flu symptoms
• Sinus infections
• Minor burns
• Rashes
• Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
• Urinary tract infections

Virtual visits are covered by most insurance companies in the same way as in-person visits. If you have questions about your cost for a virtual visit, please check with your insurance provider for co-pay guidelines and coverage.

Sports Physicals

A physical examination often is required for participation in school or recreational sports. During the exam, a provider will review your child's medical history and check heart and lung function, vision, joint health, and overall fitness. Don't let a missing sports physical keep your athlete on the sidelines. No appointment needed, just walk in or choose your arrival time to reduce or skip the wait.
